Wow I was thinking how to mitigate the rattle. I need to get that rhino clamp! The first big bump I hit, the beaver tail rattled so hard I thought I snapped a leaf or destroyed my suspension somehow

I think it’s a good thing. Better to have and not need blah blah blah... haha. I’ll trade you a shackle for some lights.

 

I just beat a cedar shim between my hitch and my receiver. It’s free and works great. Awesome for dirt roads during hunting season, or parking lots and speed bumps.

Get All Pro Expos, if you are getting a leaf pack. I have Dakars which don't flex all the way to maximize my shock travel. Buy once pay little more.

 

it’s been about 5 years since I’ve posted something meaningful in this thread. Finally bought another Tacoma a couple months ago after being in a 3rd gen 4runner for a few years. First noticeable things are taking off the Side steps, and yesterday painted the chrome grill surround as well as doing the “satoshi” style mesh. Next up, grill comes back off in about 3 hours to put a light bar behind it, hopefully won’t take too long so I can get some sleep today

 

New RTT makes the truck too tall to fit in the garage so the camper shell has to go. Took the shell off to sell and put on a Diamondback Cover. I'm worried I'll miss the extra space of the shell but pretty impressed with the Diamondback so far.

Got a @BlueRidgeOverlandGear attic for Christmas, I was missing one of the rear mounts but their customer service was great and they sent me a new one asap. Put it in yesterday after work, currently loaded with a couple grocery bags and a boonie hat

I dig that tonneau (can you call a Diamondback a tonneau?) but those dogs! Beautiful. Clearly a GSP on the left, is the other a mix? That's a good life, right there.

Had a Roan Britt that folks always accused of being an undersized GSP. Best Dog I ever had. Stoic, quiet, ALWAYS down for whatever I could throw at him.

She's a Catahoula, both are rescues and had a rough start but they've got it pretty good now.
