think a major factor is which tranny ya have, as then to the oem gearing..it makes a HUGE difference with a AT and 3.73 gears compared to 4.56....minimizes the lagging on hills and then the downshifts...and on tranny temp

My truck lost about a half second on 0-60 going from stock tires to 37/12.50R17 with the stock 3.73 rear gears. I can't wait to retest after getting 4.88 rear gears but before I swap the gears I'm going to do a 0-60 while pulling a trailer. 0-60 on a 7.5% grade is around 3 seconds slower than a stock truck on flat ground right now and I plan on redoing that test with a trailer as well.
    Fun stuff.

one note...Pay attention to the break in requirements for new gears, its very important...and good luck with the new set up, think you will be pleased...

Nothing new for mods, trying to pocket some paychecks for future endeavors.

However, I still can’t seem to isolate the clunk/clank when making a turn at speeds below 35 MPH.

Several threads already indicate sway bar bushings but that was replaced as well as the links. I don’t want to start throwing money at it to diagnose a noise quite yet.

Toyota has looked at it twice. All stock except SCS wheels, Nitto Terras Grapplers, and Moog greasable sway parts.

I can’t feel anything in the steering wheel when noise occurs.

Other videos and threads point towards bad shock or shock mount movement with similar noises and descriptions. Under 40k on the motor so I still consider this fairly new but Ohio weather sure dislikes vehicles.

Thank you for listening to me vent

No pictures of the process, but I installed a Pop N Lock PL8521 yesterday as well as a support bracket for it. I saw the bracket was sold on here for a while, but the thread seemed dead. Noticed the exact same bracket on EBay and got it there.

Also, I bought a Mobtown Tailgate Reinforcement without the ribs from another TW member. Installed that as well! As much as I want to keep the reinforcement visible, I'm going to trim the plastic cover to fit over the reinforcement just so I don't have to deal with storing it somewhere...

I've got a leak somewhere cause whenever it rains hard and long I get water beneath the drivers side floor mat.
It does this even when parked.
I know its not the brake light on the roof because I just installed a new one and used rtv glue all around it.
So until I get that mystery solved I bought one of those 20x10 canopies from Harbor Freight and put it up today.

My wife's mazda has a pump-style lever on the driver side that raises/lowers the seat height in an arcing motion. It's awesome for me being tall since lowering also pushes the seat back a little, giving Another inch or so of leg room.

I would get the @christian06 tailgate lock for additional security, and do the emergency cord mod for just in case https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...tall-2012-tacoma.214928/page-26#post-22334497
