I'll have to take some pics next time I'm at the dealer. I'm not sure if it runs all the way around or just the sides.
I first noticed it because a review of the 3rd gens mentioned aerodynamic mods - like vortex generators on the front/rear skirts and side mirrors.
The additions are supposed to help airflow, increase mpg and decrease noise.

The strip is mentioned here but no pics https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/rubber-flap-seal-between-the-bed-and-the-cab.455798/

I'm curious to know how far the strip goes and if it really helps.

How do you like the KCs? Been considering a dual-spot setup for my wife's 2019 RAV4 Hybrid..

Love em! The single is really bright so the dual should be more than enough. Super easy to install as well, wiring harness is all set up for quick plug and play

Prinsu Rack is IN!! The Rhino Rack Tracks put it pretty much dead level to the cab rack.

I need to figure out if I should put my awning/recovery tracks/Plano Case on the front or the back of the truck........

They (cab to bed seals) are for noise reduction and drag. Prevents wind from coming around and getting in between the cab and bed.

Mike Sweers (Toyota Truck Engineering Genius  ) explains it starting at 5:15.

Does that seal encompass the entire bed/cab connected area? Sides, top and bottom?

It means the tracks on my Leer shell (Rhino) are the perfect height to mount the Prinsu and have it sit flush between the shell and cab racks.
