    Yup. I've tried a couple and went this exact route. It works VERY well, stands up to the car wash, and doesn't get caught by the garage door! I'd had better known brands previously in the exact same area, and they were useless. Apparently the technology in this mast really is different. Plus they use a Tacoma in their marketing!

    After cleaning these up a couple months back (they came to me cloudy AF and I used a really fine rubbing compound on them), I still had a little bit of cloud and some minor surface spidering (oxidation) - so I hit them with automotive clear coat last night, since I had a little left over from repainting my wife's Highlander's hood.

    Instantly clear (and UV stable), have to remember that in the future.

    After 12 years and about 130000 miles you can only clean those door pulls so much . They get nasty looking after a while . I would like to replace the carpeted arm rests too someday!

    The ideal FM antenna length is 31", it's a mathematical equation and can't change. The antenna you have states it has an internal copper coil which is probably why you've experienced better reception with it than the other brands you've tried.
