Oh definitely planning on it. Just armoring up first so I can still wheel and not have to worry about damage so much. Plus the wife is insisting that I wait until the warranty is up before I do a lift. It doesn't help that I don't start getting paid for my new job until October. Damned money...

I did put on my LCA Skids yesterday though!

I got the lift & tires to go over things that might damage it. Now I'm saving for armor. The first time I took the wife on a trail ride she got out to spot me over some rocks and when she saw the frame come within a finger's width of the rock she said we need to get a lift like the guy we were with.

"Looks great man! you do all the work yourself?? I am planning on building just about the same grill myself here real soon!"

Yep, Lot of sanding and painting and sanding. All the time hoping Homer would not show up and crush my skull for taking so long to finish it. But I am very pleased. Now if somebody in my little town would actually notice it! My ego needs the pat on the back.

I had an automatic 2007 Tacoma a few years back. During that time I couldn't stand the vibes and the noise on braking so much that I got into a Tom Woods one piece driveshaft group buy. I bought the driveshaft setup for a OME style 2" inch lift. That truck is long gone but I kept the driveshaft.

I just put that driveshaft on my 6 speed 2011. It's stock except for the rear leaf TSB. Just as I suspected the stock two piece driveshaft is a pos no matter which transmission you have. The truck is noticeably smoother and the vibes I had in the drivetrain are greatly reduced. Dam carrier bearing is gone! I will drive it more this afternoon, but now it's smoothed out so much that I think my tires need balanced. :p

With the other driveshaft, the shifter would vibrate and get progressively worse starting around 55 mph. It starts to taper off but was still there. That is greatly reduced now with the one piece driveshaft. So happy I kept that thing.

This is what my grill will resemble, Only I plan to paint the inner surround bright silver instead of flat black to provide a contrast between the mesh and the MGM outer surround. I am really liking this grill you have now!
