Slammed the rails against the bumpstops yet again going over a mild speed bump. Damn these springs are horrible.

    Yes
Do you have the TSB springs? I agree, I used to bottom out just going over bumps with nothing in the bed, now it's all good after the new springs.

that tinted windshield doesn't seem safe? Is that truck an off road rig, or do you drive it on the streets?

    Clazzio seat covers,
I don't understand the whole tinted windshield thing ... to me at night it would not be too safe ... I know, I know ... we all like to push the limits ... I have 35% on the side whereas the state legal limit is 50% ... but I don't bring attention to myself (I'm old) ... I would be curious to know state limits on the front.

Windshield tint is illegal in his state as most others

Windshield: "Non-reflective tint is allowed above the manufacturer's AS-1 line only."

Front Side windows: "Must allow more than 35% of light in"

Back windows: "Any darkness can be used"

Rear window: "Any darkness can be used"
Note: "Dual side mirrors are required with rear window tint"

Tint must also be approved by the state prior to installation. If the installer is not using approved tint that has been tested it is illegal no matter what the shade.

Finally got my ATO gas tank skid plate installed. It's been sitting around in the garage all pretty with powder coat waiting to get scratched and gouged on the rocks. :D

Also waiting to hear back from Toyota to see if they will warranty my driver side LCA balljoint. With 70K KM's on the odo i doubt it's gonna happen. We'll see though.

More bad news as well. Checked the rest of the suspension both sides and discovered the Balljoints for my LightRacing UCA's (both sides) are worn or allowing way to much play. The bushings on the driver side are allowing to much play as well. On the bright side, contacted SPC and they are going to stand behind their product and replace both UCA's free of charge. They apparently have a new balljoint & boot design as well as a new bushing design as well. Great company to deal with!
