I had a bird hit my helmet while I was ringing my sportbike on the highway. SO happy I was wearing a helmet right then. Scared me so bad I almost wrecked anyway.

Anyway, I put shocks and shocks/springs taken from a '12 trd OR on my sr5. If I drive with my eyes closed it feels like I'm driving a brand new truck, until I crash from driving like that.

Just met up with a guy on Craigs List for these. He's a Fireman who traded in his 2012 DCSB for a brand new 4Runner with all the bells and whistles. Any way, he sold me his slightly used OEM all weather floor mats (the recalled thick ones) and a bedrug for $65 total and he delivered it on his way back from a 48 hour shift...such a killer deal!

    Heat does not equal UV.

The PVB layer in laminated glass blocks 99% of UV rays. The coating on the inside does the rest. Google "laminated glass" for the facts.

For some function > form buy something that actually works that isn;t illegal and dangerous. Both of these are proven to work better then tint.

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with plate bumpers per the DOT. Your state may have an issue with it (just like tint), but thats up to you to check out. My truck is 100% legal with front/rear plate bumpers.

eye contact is very important in city driving...

It is illegal for a reason.

In Ohio (where I am) I was under the impression that you CANNOT remove a oem/factory bumper reinforcement beam/bar ((4inch x 4inch min) Which is located behind the plastic cover). And since thats was all aftermarket plate and tube bumpers need removed to install one, it's illegal. That's what I mean by different states have different laws. Thats pretty neat your state has no bumper laws.

All in all, if dude wants to tint his front windshield, he can do it. If peps on the internet want to give him a hard time, they can. Vicious cycle.

My state has bumper laws. My plate bumper meets and or exceeds them. In my state you can strap a 4x4 to the front or rear and be ok as long as it can handle a 5mph impact and the bottom of it needs to be within 18" of the ground.

I also flame the morons tinting tail lights and head lights. We can't fix stupid but with enough flaming we may be able to protect some innocent citizens from being hit by them.

lol at people mad at 50% windshield tint. legal or not, it's not dangerous. 50% is basically nothing if you've never seen it in person. wearing sunglasses will block out a LOT more light/visibility. So all you guys bashing saying he will hit somebody... I hope you don't wear sunglasses because you are putting the world in danger by doing so.

Tinting your front windshield is neither dangerous or nonfunctional. I don't have tint on my windshield but EVERYONE I know including the cops that have done it says they will never own another car without it again. The cops I know that have done it liked it on their cruisers thus did it on their POVs. Don't hate on the kid for having more balls to provide for his own comfort than you do.

Lets get on with the thread.

I put on my American Tonneau Company Tri-fold the other day. Its really nice, good quality. Putting it on was trickier than suggested. A few little things sucked here and there, but overall I think its pretty nice. Dont have pics, but I also added a K&N filter. I could "sense" a throttle response difference, but nothing major. I'll have to do the 2nd filter removal mod as well to see the most difference I'm sure.
