Are you able to tuck it away in any compartments or under the rear seats?

My truck is in the shop so I can't prove it, but others have posted here that it will fit behind the rear seat. Will check when I get my truck back -hopefully tomorrow.

The space behind the seat should be the same either side, but mine is passenger as the stuff I want quicker access to is behind the driver side.

If you worried about lacking room, there is a mod available to put a molle panel back there and remove the plastic piece altogether. Pretty simple, and there is a version that works with the sub. You can see it in the build thread I have going (post #12) and there is a link to the group buy as well.

Got the Alu-Cab Canopy installed today, then went for a drive at the LBJ Grasslands.
Very thankful to have a Alu-Cab dealer so close here in Texas. Great experience at CB Adventure Supply, and they keep lots of cool stuff in stock.

We loaded a 16' pod to the tippy top and stuffed the matresses at the back and squeezed tha door closed like a fat girl trying to zip up her jeans. No damage at all(you gotta know how to pack them). Had the cars shipped by carrier and drove the Tacoma from NoCal to East Tn with wife, daughter, 6 cats and a dog. I have to say it was the best long distance drive I have ever done. Did it in less than 3 days. The biggest issue was that I should have scheduled the pod drop off immediately instead of waiting till we got there. It took a few weeks and we had to use air mattresses and patio furniture for living.move 3.jpg move 1.jpg

If I had anywhere NEAR that amount of stuff ... I mean, you're almost forced to do it that way with the vehicles and animals alone!!! I'm glad to hear that it went off without a hitch for you! w

I am hoping to get to chat with the truck driver upon delivery of the Pod to get some pointers on how I need to pack this thing... The worst part is that I don't think we're anywhere near the total volume of an 8x8x8... My gut is just telling me to pack for low center of gravity, weight low, breakables packed with caution and try as hard as I can to make sure the valuable stuff is tied down.

edit: out of curiousity --- did you use anything to calm those cats down for the drive? Last move (NorCal to South TX) was brutal with the cat in the car. This time around we got some medicine. The stupid calming spray did NOT work.

    Nice ride.

SIX cats in a Taco for three days! I nearly went crazy with two in a Focus for eight hours!
