This is the seller I bought mine from. He makes them in a few different configurations. He 3D prints them so you might contact him and see if he can make one to suit your needs.

It will be OK, Bob. The first step is NEVER admitting you have "a problem". Mod ON!

i live in central Virginia, dont get much snow but we do get salt put on the roads a few times a year, when something may come thru, just in case. ive never worried about the undercarriage of a vehicle before, but have seen some Northern guys talking about FF and the like... reckon thats something i should look into?

Sometimes I have thoughts of buying stuff for the taco. So I go onto the meso site because I’ve gotten everything I want from them. Seeing it all sold out is satisfying to me.
Did a viper cut to curb some thoughts.
I currently have 3 projects waiting and want 3 more.

It’s not a problem if nothing gets broken.

IMO, this one is superior. It will only drain when you screw on the special fitting and it comes with a hose.

    The link says "unavailable".
Fumotos only drain when you turn a valve and you can get a hose at a store if you need for like a buck a foot and you choose the length.

FF is not going to do anything detrimental, but for a few times a year, and if the temp gets above freezing in-between salting, washing your truck especially the undercarriage, would probably suffice.
I use FF, but if it's the first ever coating I'd look at Krown or Cosmoline. Supposedly the Krown and Cosmoline don't attract as much dirt. Also, if you wanted to switch later on, I believe FF can be put on top of Krown or Cosmoline. However, they cannot be put over FF.

FF application is pretty easy and can be DIY for about $100 using aerosol cans. Don't know about the others.

Looks like yesterday’s thread about Tacoma Lifestyle was disappeared. I understand why (I think) but it could be a useful PSA for anyone looking for a vendor. Glad I was able to read how others have been treated.

    I spent 16 quarters...8 per 3 min/45 seconds.

First round was quick rinse/bubbles around the wheels/tires (I pre-sprayed them) and also hit the side steps and fender flares.

Second round was clean-up remaining bubbles/debris...decent job just to get salts off.

Next, I took her on a 5 mile drive...part of it highway speed...to air her out...and to also get some brake usage.

Parked my truck and did not set the parking brake.

    All is well.

I like this idea and wonder if there is a dedicated thread to things we wish we hadn't done.............

Regarding the valve caps, there are some metal ones with plastic inserts. Allows you to run caps with a little style, but also as you noted the harsh winter conditions (brine, etc) usually do a number on the finish.

I wish I'd never tried the driver side door grab handle....................some are happy, but I never liked the fit and finish. Great idea, less than great execution. Maybe it has been revised and is better now...........

None to speak of, just enjoying it for the moment.
Just FYI your 2022 Taco has both the exterior AND interior of the frame painted. This was a mitigation action after the frame fiasco in the 2nd gen Taco. That should help quite a bit.
