In my Tacoma there is the cigarette lighter type plug in the front, too. I searched for the USB add-on style to install in the back as well, but just decided to use a plug adapter with the voltmeter and keep it either in the glove box or under the back seat and use it as needed.

I'm really happy with this one

Haven't had much time to do anything other than drive it since the move. But after selling our house in NC we managed to pay off my tacoma and my wife's 4runner. Just got the titles in the mail today :bananadance:

Today I did some maintenance I've been procrastinating on.

    Trans fluid drain/fill.

I drove to 3 different auto supply stores so I could get a clear drain container and a 5mm Hex socket. None of the friggin stores had either. I went to Dollar General and got a clear qt container so I could see how much came out and what it looked like. I decided that I would just use a damn 5mm allen wrench.

69,180 miles on the clock I feel like I was late to the game on this maintenance, but better late than never.

    Process:
    2.25 qt drained hot
    3 qt added
Replace drain crush washer as well as fill plug rubber gasket.
Put the truck in temp check mode
.25 qt drained from check plug in temp check mode
Toyota ATF WS fluid and OEM washers
Drain plug torqued to 15ft lb
Fill plug torqued to 29ft lb
Check plug torqued good-n-tight with a 5mm Allen wrench due to the fact I couldn't source the correct tool from any damn auto parts store in my area.

Note on Temp Check Mode. I have a 2020 so apparently I didn't need the jumper from 4 to 13 on the OBD II. Since I had to drive all over gods creation to get stuff to do this job (which I was unsuccessful in getting), my truck read with a blinking D (over temp) when in temp check mode.... I had to wait 4 hours for the transmission pan to cool down ...and even then as soon. As I got the truck into temp check mode it was already in range (solid D).

I had no issues before this service and it seems fine afterwards. No change.. I wonder if this was even worth the time and money for so little fluid. I guess I'll do this again in 20k since I procrastinated so long.

Fresh engine and cabin filters, oil and filter change, quick wash to inspect the bear damage/scratches and then the drive through at Culver's for ice cream. Of course it rained after and messed up the car wash.

This spot on the tailgate is the deepest/worst. There's a couple of long scratches on the lower drivers side bed panel. The fender flares on the bed are pretty scratched too. I'm not sure I'll bother with repainting. Resprays never match and the texture is alway off. :notsure:

You could throw one of those topo stickers on your tailgate or something like this: https://www.beyondwraps.com/product...xJF4NNzYRVxN75vQcNQZ3hO8AI4P-wtsGZRIPubrNuM1Y

My tailgate was smashed. I had It fixed good enough.. I just used plastidip to hide the paintless dent removal (he couldn't fix it 100%). It's not ideal, but it was better to me than getting another tailgate

    Yeah.
It shouldn't hurt anything, but you'll need to do this 8 to 10 times to fully "replace" all the fluid. If you do it with every oil change, it makes sense, but IMHO it is better to just do a full refresh at around 60K and be done with it for another 60K.

Finally bit the bullet and got the full rustproofing oil coating done throughout the truck as recommended by many here. It was a pain in the ass keeping it clean enough and humidity controlled to prevent rust and the warranty period is almost done so I figured it’s time for oil treatment while it’s still minty. They took off my taillights sprayed in the fenders, in the frame, drilled new holes and got in my rockers and literally everywhere. It’s fantastic. Looks great and I feel a lot better no rust will creep in from somewhere I overlooked. They warranty against any rust forming on this truck now for its life as long as I do it every 13 months or less. Since we plan on keeping this for 20 years it’s very worthwhile and cheaper than how often I was cleaning it. IMG_7783.jpg IMG_7782.jpg IMG_7781.jpg IMG_7780.jpg IMG_7779.jpg IMG_7778.jpg

Saw another Quicksand SX by my parents house in TN the other day, looked great. Your setup looks killer though.
