Been installing auto glass for 31+ years.

Pilkington is my first choice, but ever since Covid they’ve been struggling to keep glass in stock. So I’ve been ordering must if our glass from MyGrant. FYG,Fuyao & SCM,Sisecam your my second choices. I avoid XYG like the plague.

FYI not all FYG is Chinese glass. They do have a plant in the US. IMG_7768.jpg

I put an 3Gen FYG windshield in my personal vehicle.

My son worked for MyGrant for a awhile and also said Pilkington was a great brand, he also pointed out to me that my OEM windshield is made by Pilkington, very hard to see it but if you look really hard under the Toyota name you can see the much smaller Pilkington name under it, again it is hard to see if you didn't know it was there...

So, what have any of you guys heard about the “Stinger” 10’ screen, infotainment system sold by Tacoma Beast. I haven’t heard it mentioned but ran across it by accident on you tube. Just watching the install video and listening to to the sales pitch, it sounds like a pretty decent upgrade to my current stock 7” head unit. TIA

I recall something about having to set your door lock settings and some other of things the way you want before installing the Stinger.

I kept the factory radio on my 2017, but added kicker key 200.4, 500.1, jl stealthbox and focal rse-165/rcx165. Second skin damplifier 2mm pro on the inner doors and back cab wall too. It sounds really good with dsp, but no apple car play. I'd like to add the Sony 9500es from trail grid pro at some point. The Pioneer 6600nex is popular too.

No likes. Glad I bought my led headlight harness a while back.

I changed all my speakers to Rockford Fosgate and added this module. It fits right under the OEM radio.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
About a week before that popped up, Dave had mentioned he was going to shut the store down at years end for a couple of weeks to set up new financials, so I decided to wait on the DIR set that I was considering until mid-Jan. Oops.

I upgraded all speakers to Focal (front and dash) and Kicker in the back, along with a 10” sub (I think) from JL audio, plus a good amp. All upgraded with the exception of the head unit. Now that I saw this 10” screen and it looks so factory, it’s got my mind going again for the finish.

Finished the latest project today. I mated a non-sunroof MESO hexrack to a sunroof hexrack. I bought the non-sunroof hexrack as one of my first mods. I really liked it and saw a picture of an extension to the front overhead switch panel that MESO didn’t make. I found a used sunroof hexrack and thought about putting that in behind. I bought it and worked on connecting it. I had to cut the sunroof hexrack in the front where the connection to the dome light is located. It fit well like it was meant to be there. Now putting my bags back up there and adding more(gun rack, etc.).

After hearing her discuss the negatives on the Stinger, especially the squeaking and rattling I think I will hold off. I do like your recommendation regarding the Sony 9500. Thanks for the links

That came out good! I didn’t know that was your plan when I sold it to you.

Got this recently. Box is huge and heavy. This will be my fourth exhaust starting with stock exhaust to Borla to TRD Pro. Maybe it will be my last one.

If you go to a fifth exhaust, I’m a fan of the Magnaflow Overland exhaust. I had TRD Pro and R4T high clearance previously.
