What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

It came wrapped in a plastic bag. You would think they would have shipped it in a box.

 

I think mine came in a bubble lined envelope from Meso.

 

Yup that's exactly how mine was shipped. USPS probably thought it was an apple watch, opened it, and got upset when they realized it was just a piece of plastic.

Did a couple fixes to get the truck back up and running after Memorial Day Mexico trip.

Replaced a shaft... Turns out to be a pretty easy fix if you have a 35MM socket.






And then it was onto the bumper which I ripped off a few weeks ago. Bought the CBI bumper they had at the Overland Expo booth and finally had some time to put it on. It was fun for a single person to put up this 175 pound monster, but props to @CBI Offroad Fab for making it easy to install and well fitting. Also thank you to Prinsu/CBI for making a rack sturdy enough to support the weight while installing it.

Washed. Used the F11 top coat, and it works well enough.

Scheduled my lift install finally! And tomorrow order new tires and rims...

The black vinyl decals look good. I’ve been trying to find a thicker black overlay, similar to my grill badge that is applied by 3M adhesive for the interior chrome.

Dude, that's probably what happened to your first two sets of headlights.

 

Not from the delivery person. I know him personally but could have been before he got it? They were packed very poorly tho.

Next step is running audio cable from the cab through the firewall and up to the same mounting point to connect my external mic. I also need to figure out how to waterproof the whole mess a little better. Given that I live in the California bay area I have at least four months before I'm likely to see another drop of rain, so there's time... unless I forget to check depth on a water crossing.
