Sweet... I actually picked up this lift from Amazon for the same reason. I got it installed and raised the rack, but was stuck getting info on the adapters and tonneau. I'll be interested seeing the photos and didn't realize that you didn't need to bolt the adapters to the bed. I was thinking of the BAK Revolver X2 Tonneau Cover but I don't know if it made sense if I had to leave the adapters connected to the truck when I removed the rack.

That's all fine and fun, but You'll shoot your eye out kid!

Besides, US mil statistics: 10k rounds expended for regular infantry on average per tango down, 1.5 rounds expended for each tango down with scout snipers (and usually more strategic eliminations).

Got a new fill vavle for my 300km 2020!
Went to fill up yesterday for the first time (1/2 tank so why not) and when I was done I heard 'water'.....it was gas dripping from under my truck. I was 2 blocks away so took it to the dealer who is lending me some 2015 Hemi Ram thing that makes me fully appreciate the Tacoma.

They called and they filled it up = nothing, but they smoke tested and the fill valve was leaking so I have to wait a couple days for the part.

They have never seen anything like this before so yay for being 1st.

Mind if I ask how the quality of the powder coat is, My tattoo artist in NYS ordered one and wasn't that happy with it. I want one but have some reservations,

I could be misinterpreting the installation guide, but I took it as the bolts are not necessary so I didn't bolt mine down. I don't have a roof top tent on it yet so maybe it is a good idea for me to bolt them down before I put the tent on it.

I haven't noticed any powder coat issue on the rack itself, but the tonneau adapter is...yeah... Personally, I'm not too concerned (yet) because the bare metal for the Z-bracket is under the tonneau cover. As for the mounting bracket, I had to jam the bolt in because the excess powder coat. I don't think I exposed any bare metal, but I stopped caring at that point haha

Got my X-Bull traction boards today. For $70 w/ mounts I figure I can break one each time I use it (maybe 1-2 times/year for snow recovery) and in 10 years still have paid less than a set of MaxTrax boards.
Plus if someone steals it out of my bed I'm only out $30 vs $150 since I only plan on carrying one at a time because bed space is prime real-estate for all my work tools I need to haul.
Though I will say I do wish I could justify the MaxTrax price, but the money I saved on the boards is going into an OVTune so I'm happy with my decision.

The hardware that comes with the boards is easily modified to fit the front bed rail. All I had to do was grind down the washers so it could fit in the T channel. And the board sits low enough so it doesn't interfere with my tonneau cover.
