Front bedrail says they will not fit the 2020 short bed. Does anyone know why?

I had a Sequoia with a locked gas door that opened with a lever next to the drivers seat. I could easily pop it open with a screw driver. I'm sure the same applies to those with a lock. Now a locking gas cap might be a little harder to break into but not much.

Took it to the dealership to get inspected for potential frame rust recall / service campaign. I also told them that I was missing one clip for the liner under the hood.

They told me the frame was fine and said that they put a clip in the missing spot for the liner.

Came home (65 miles later from the dealership I bought the truck out) popped the hood AND it seems they didn’t put in a clip but instead left the whole liner piece missing.

Anyone know a part # for this? I already called the dealership and they said they had to check the cameras etc. AND if they can’t find it they’ll have to order a new part.

TGIF. Sorry for the rant. Part # would be much appreciated!

They need to make a smaller version of this, so it fits with the cover closed. The cover becomes a guard.

Yep, thats a bummer. At least you made your experience known so potential future buyers will be aware. Hopefully they get you sorted out quickly.

Wow that’s legit patience. Have you considered the OEM option? I’m super happy with mine. Maybe a big cost difference?

It was $400 to get them done, about average I think for SoCal.

What did I do to my 3rd gen today? I got totally frustrated with a relatively simple mod that wasn't. I bought a used set of the TRD Pro coilovers and tried to install them on my 2016 Tacoma. The Pro did not come out till the 2017 model year so there must have been a minor change since I have seen others do this mod but their trucks were 2017 or newer. The holes on the LCA for the bottom of the shock were a 1/4 inch off and I had to make a minor adjustment. Unfortunately, before doing that I tried using some gentle persuasion with a hammer with too much emphasis on the persuasion and not enough on the gentle. I stripped the main bolt that connects bottom of the shock to the LCA and had to order a new one. Now I hope to finish it up on Monday.

I never plan on going off road, at least on purpose. The reasons for wanting this are first, they fix the Taco rake and lean i.e. pitch and roll in aviation terms. Second, they are rebuildable so they will not have to be purchased again and it will save a little money. Third, the red coils add a little bling and go nicely with my Wilwood BBK calipers. Finally, almost everything I have read says that they provide a little nicer ride.
