My boss and her husband just picked up an R32 GTR. They had an R32 for years prior, sold it a few months ago to get the GTR. Not sure their plans, but their old one was putting out 800HP at the rear wheels. They are such cool cars.

It does look good but I'm sure if Tacoma's came from factory without the black vinyl between the windows someone most likely would have come up with the idea to sell a "black out" kit...same goes for the nice chrome handles inside...someone would sell the chrome option :D. All I'm saying is that we are funny that way:)!

yea i heard people complaining about LED on the license plate bulbs were too bright. I just used these old PIAA LED bulbs i had for about 10 years and seem to be perfect. I wasnt going for brighter i was looking for it to match the OEM bedlights and they do.

I have had this system installed for 2 years now. It has greatly improved my towing and carrying capacity as well as lifting the rear nearly 6" at the ball hitch. The truck is more stable as well when towing my camper loaded for a week of R and R.

You are right. The oem tires are 3/16" thinner tread than the duratrac and 1/8" thinner than most other SL A/T tires. I'm sure they use these because they get a great discount on bulk orders for a relatively inexpensive AT tire, but they also weigh a lot less(32 lbs) compared to a Duratrac SL(44 lbs) or LT(53 lbs), so they will produce better fuel efficiency results.

I believe the tire companies bid on tires the car companies. Whatever tire company has a better deal they would go with and would need to push GY tires, yada yada. If its a specialty car then that doesn't apply like the rubicons come with BFG All Terrains? Maybe theyre a car to car deals?
Also people drive differently so if people say i got 25k out of my tires and you got 35K doesnt matter, you get what you get. 40k on your 08 tacoma? How bald were they or were they down to the wear bar? 40k is good but again people drive differently and also gauge how much tread they have left on their tires. lol Ive seen people come in with tires down to the wear bar and say thing they still have tread...Not according to the NYS inspection you dont.
If the tires wear down then just get new ones. I dont think its worth the time thinking about how long your tires would last. i just wanted for my taco an aggressive tread and for it to be somewhat quiet. Thats just me.

On that point - I actually generally prefer tires that wear quicker. I got into a wreck years ago because I bought cheap tires with a high wear rating. Problem was, when it came time for an emergency stop they didn’t have the grip I needed, and I hit the car I was trying to avoid. I’ve noticed most of my tires start to age out and lose grip well before they wear out. Buying new tires is much cheaper (and much less of a headache) than dealing with a wreck. So now I look at the grip ratings first, then look at the wear ratings. Sure, I’d love the tires to last as long as possible, but they’re a consumable and the grip is most important to me.

Prinsu rack! Started it last night, finished it up this morning. Super easy install, I did the hole method for the roof trim instead of notching it out, worked great and doesn’t take that long. Adjusting the bars probably took the longest since I got the handles also, wanted them to be in good spots along with bar spacing. Probably changed them around 5-6 times. Raised my sunroof and positioned the bars around it. I got the Baja lights for the handles but that’ll be another day. Thinking I’ll wire them in to the bed light switch since they’ll probably all be on together. Super happy with the fit and quality

wow thats sucks. Yea, cheaper is never better. Just have to do your research and decided. Seems like its an unfortunate lesson but we all been there. The tires are the only thing between the road and your car. Those need to be on the top priority, brakes second and of course lift 3rd hahaha

Looks great. I think I've made up my mind to go with a Prinsu instead of OEM. did you buy direct from their website, or another dealer? Pics when you get the lights wired.

Didn't do anything to mine but I do have 2 buyers lined up to take it off my hands. I won't see it reach 26k miles. Love the truck but only drove it 1,000 miles last year. I can get by with an older 2nd gen Taco or an older Tundra for my minimal hauling needs. Probably is the prettiest truck I will ever own. Over 5 years old with no dings or scratches. I will miss it.Untitled.jpg

I found a guy on Etsy that made them for me. I really liked the mountains and trees (I live in Utah) that he put on there, but he only had the decal for the Off Road. I messaged him and asked if he could make one for the Sport, and he did. It should be in his store. Store name is SKYTOWERS. DM me if you have any questions. Thanks!

Love it. I need a roof rack, hopefully sometime in the next few months.
