Replaced my radiator cap and driver side upstream O2 sensor. It's nice having 4Lo back.

I think I am good with the Runner. Had a rough couple of months with her, was about ready to trade her in for something else. But I think everything is mostly squared away till I get my new rear shock to replace the leaking one.

Researching my next suspension upgrade in a couple of years.

Can't just replace the shocks now?

    Rears are cheap

Ironman is warrantying out my rear shocks. I am going debating between MRA Extended Travel MRA/IMS or Accutune Mid-Travel Clicker Fox shocks. I have already replaced a leaking front Ironman shock, now a leaking rear shock on 35k miles. Currently saving for a house, so no big purchases till after that. So doing the research right now.

    Ah gotcha

    Least they're getting warrantied

I'd just go accutune or ads cause, who doesn't like custom valved shocks?

That is kinda what I am thinking! My buddy is running Accutune Fox on his Taco and loves them.

Had to rebuild the passenger side parking brake . Replaced both rear Ironman shocks. I've now warrantied 3 shocks in 35k miles.

Actual contribution to the thread: Removed my steps for ATR, and I'll probably sell them rather than put em back on.

4th gens always look so much better without those funky side steps.

I have a friend who is running it on their LT 4th Gen 4Runner in the front and it has taken a beating running fast in the desert. Still working like new. I have high hopes.

    Got a new 2023 SR5 yesterday.
Nothing special, but I like it.

    Previous build was a Tacoma.

But I’m not going to “build” the 4Runner, I swear..

First thing I would do is remove those steps.

Waiting on my OEM TRD wheels and OEM headlights to come in.

gave her a wash and wax.

since my last post I did do a full transmission flush at 241k miles. Shifts much better now.

Since this thread seems to be a bit more active thank others, I got a question for the 3rd gen T4R people:

I’m going to look at a 1997 limited 4wd tomorrow, and the only real issue it may have is the dash lights don’t light up and the rear tail running lamps don’t either.

from some googling, it looks like it could be a tail fuse inside the cab, tail fuse outside the cab, or the relay outside the cab. There also seemed to be one guy that linked it to the oem trailer wire harness shorting.

Is anyone here familiar with this problem ?
