when looking at it yesterday, The 10 amp tail fuse under hood keeps blowing…
I checked the tail bulbs and they seemed fine, however both were slightly “burnt” if you will. Dark smoke on parts of the bulb.
The filaments seemed to be ok, but I’ll probably swap those to see if that does it.
If not, I’ll look into the trailer wire harness or possibly the dash radio dimmer wire.

Swapped out crusty five spokes for some motegi mr150 trailites wrapped in 265-70/r17 Toyo AT3's. With a 0 offset they're lining up perfect with the flares. Greased my UCA's and all the greaseable suspension things while I was in there, too.

Ordered through @Discount Tire shipped direct to my door road force balanced. Super smooth process.

One wheel and tire showed up with no weights on it, but I found this note taped on the barrel that made me laugh. I appreciated them taking the time to let me know instead of just leaving me wondering if weights fell off or something.

I didn't want to create a new thread, but does anyone know if 2006-2009 tail lights are a direct fit (i.e. no electrical work required) onto a 2003-2005 4runner? I read they switched to LEDs but also read they are a direct bolt in. I want the newer look but don't want to deal with flasher relays or anything like that.

Yesterday put in a Ironman 4x4 adjustable panhard bar, pretty easy install with two bolts, match the length add a turn or two, and put back in. Today though.. replaced both front CV's.. That SUCKED. 1/10 don't recommend. Got it done with cleanup in about 4 hours, including two neighbors coming by and BS'ing for awhile.

Been a while since I posted on here.

Things I've done since I last posted:
Crap ton of Maintenance, 01-02 Rear tail lights w/ LED swap, CBI Ditch Light brackets paired with Baja Design Squadrons, swapped the worn out OEM fog lights with Diode Dynamics SSC1 pods, 01-02 Sport grill (paint matched), Snow Bound customs rear hatch lock camera mount, Sherpa Matterhorn Sport Full size rack, ARB 8ft awning, Diode Dynamics SSC2 rear chase lights, 02 Sport Skid plate protector, and other misc. things I forgot to list.

Did some Christmas stuff today. Added some RGB Christmas lights in the rear hatch area, wreath on the front grill, and wreath on the rear tow hitch.

    Future plans:
OEM 890 Rear coils to replace the 99 Tall springs, Supercharger, Recaro low bolster seats, and maybe dual battery setup.

Not really a mod or anything, but saw this post on reddit and had to give it a try. Had no idea my 4th gen could do this. My wife is 7 months pregnant and we have to drive to the west side of the state and back next weekend (6 hours each way) and it is going to make that ride SO much more bearable for her.

    I'm not dead yet!

Built a sleeping platform in the back to accommodate an RV bunk mattress, 32x75. The rest of that stuff arrives later this week.

With this, I have a spot for my rifle case underneath, cooler to the side, and a lot of other gear storage, plus cubbies and nooks for tools and such. The goal is to be able to bring my cats along for extended trips so I want to sleep with them, inside the vehicle where I can keep an eye on them, and this should help preserve space to that end.

Replaced rear calipers, rotors, and pads on my 2007 today (did the fronts last spring) and somehow managed to break some of the springs on the parking brake in the process of removing one old rotor. What a pain in the ass that whole assembly is. Luckily my wife was out around town and could swing through oreilleys to buy me a rebuild kit for it. That took nearly as long as the entire other side did. Drove around and bedded them in and I'm happy my pulsing is gone and things are stopping nicely.

Went with 5th gen calipers for the sliiiightly larger piston, but still uses the same size pad, with the 4th gen rotor. I guess 5th gen rotors have a larger shoe diameter for the parking brake and it can get weird.

Not today but last week or so along with the needle bearing..^ wheel bearings/hubs, cv boot job. Cleaned and cleaned and cleaned some more as torn boots made a mess.

hopefully a little paint wasn’t a mistake.. I don’t think it is a part that will hold water even if it cracks.. :notsure:IMG_4088.jpg
