I wish I could play my radio for you guys. The JL sub was worth the cost of the 4R. I had all the speakers changed, amps, sound mats and the JL sub. Sometimes I take the long way home from work. Just because. Still running the stock head unit till I find something I like.

    Right On

I really enjoy driving my daughter’s 4Runner. When I get it paid off I am going to grab me one. Hopefully the 5th Gen prices will stay down so I can grab one. The Tacoma will pull the boat and the 4Runner will be for comfort.

One of my license plate bulbs blew. Replaced both bulbs, cleaned up the housing and replaced the rusted screws with SS screws.

Installed some FJ cruiser mevotech SMS81081 rear coils today. They have pictures of front springs for this part number on rockauto (but lists them as for the rear), so I took a gamble. They were correct and for the rear though and they leveled things out nicely or it has a little bit of rake now. They were $62 shipped for a new pair and have the same 81081 part number as the Moogs, but for half the price roughly. Ride quality is unchanged and as of right now they gave me about 1” of lift. I expect them to settle a little though.

Last weekend I put an accessorides remote start into my 4th gen. Didn't take any pictures but it wasn't bad! Maybe an hour and a half of pulling trim around the lower dash and steering wheel and then clicking in a few connectors. Complete game changer though, very excited to have a cold car this summer and a warm car this winter. They were running a sale and then had a coupon code that works on top of it so I got it for something like $270 shipped.

Only thing I didn't do was install the couple wires to get the rear window working on the remote. You have to splice two wires into the main body harness and I just didn't feel like dealing with it at the time. The rest of the rear window buttons still work inside or with the key, so not a huge deal IMHO.

    100% would recommend.

Wife and I canceled being adults today. Went dirt biking, shooting guns... without the kids.
