not offroad...but i had a little accord manuel and loved it. :D when im offroading i kick it on 4 low and put it on first gear when im going down a steep hill and its pretty slow IMO too slow sometimes that i switch it to 2nd gear. haven't tried a manuel.

Anyone have any suggestions on smittybilt or engo?

I've been researching and keep going back and forth between warn, smittybilt and engo but I really can't swing almost a grand for a winch with synthetic line, so its between smitty and engo 10000

yep true but both thing got there odds and ends :) there both good and there both bad, also depending on what the person likes, the fight of Auto vs Manuel will never end for some people.....
heck if everybody had the same taste there wouldn't be a TW forum, cause it will be boring, and everybody will have exactly the same setup.
let leave it like that before we become arch enemies for no reason :D

take it slow buy a good brand winch so that later i the future instead of buying another winch cause for some odd reason it broke, you can buy the synthetic line, sense its pretty new and cool its kinda hard to find it cheap, if you want to play you got to pay "/

Better for an expedition rig plus I wouldn't mind being able to fit another person or two

    Yep

Not super hard to swap a manual in

RTT Bro. Bigger then your bed..

Yes it's so much better downhill

It's not. Autos 1st gear down hill is freaking fast compared to the manuals. Autos are great uphill tho. Pros and cons to both.

i still want a RTT but later

    :D
