Installed an upgraded battery after my duralast gold bit the dust and started wiring up some cheap Chinese spot beam lights. Suzuki alternator upgrade and XRC winch next month. SS3 on backorder until the 21st.

Found this ARE camper shell for a “six pack of Busch light” it’s in decent shape just for the broken window and hole at the top. Due to vent fan that was installed before. And came with a key for locks. 9AA24D5E-7E3F-456F-B730-521846C6F9D1.jpg280A4CD3-F2DE-45FF-BA8C-94A3EE106411.jpg F11A7D23-471E-4CCD-9A34-ECCDA7E91842.jpg

    Thank you
I have the GM alternator, and I have replaced it three times in the last few years, thankfully it has been under warranty. But it is HUGE and a pain to replace when it does go bad.
I would like a more compact one so if it does go out I'm not disassembling the front of my engine to get it out.

huh i've never struggled to install one or remove one. Pretty much the same as stock one. Just have to roll it in I think(been a while).

I did not appreciate replacing Mike's GM alt, its a larger bastard for sure and the pulleys never quite lining up is annoying. The Suzuki and Jaguar alts (105a and 120a respectively) fit like stock, they're both Denso, and plug in easier.

I could do that, but I mounted my power panel with the dual battery controller and all my breakers in the way. :annoyed:

huh. I guess it's been a while. I did mikes in Canada in camp. Don't recall it being difficult. The small insert in the alt mount on the block itself was a big issue. had to come up with a way to press it back in haha

I pressed it back in with pliers when I did it in CdA, but that oversized alt is a blond one from the total waste, I mean total chaos coil bucket feeling soothers.

I don't see how the TC guessets would get in the way. I've always gotten to everything from above.

Well you see there is no room to reach around or above or really near it, you have a path to remove it if you can get it out of the mount, good luck maneuvering it out of the mount with those things there and even better luck putting the connections on without reaching in the fender which is no longer possible thanks to the total obstruction of chaotically placed scrap steel...

hm, I always loosed the tensioner totally so it comes out. Then its jut the top bolt. Falls forward, then unplug it, roll it forward and bam. Out.
