To be honest that was before I realized I could put the stuff inside the door. No issues at all though, fit nice and snug.

Those actuators aren't too difficult to get off from underneath, think it's 3 or 4 screws then pull out.

Because, I don't have power windows, so no door card with the window and mirror switch pod. :(

    Howling you say?

Imagine this for 30 hours from NJ to UT.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
That just seems awful, I know I've done much worse to my engine than running at constant high RPM, that isn't what worries me. But the fatigue to yourself over 30hrs from that NVH just seems like it would be terrible.

Yeah I was doing 12-15 hour days solo, lots of caffeine, snacks and cigarellos. That's why that mod is a huge priority for me. The goal is to do it when the NWF case goes in. I actually think it's 40 hours to Utah, it was 30 hours to @jubei 's place. And the trip to the local offroad park is 2+ hours one way. I'm slowly trying to make the Tacoma more comfortable to be able to take my son on further harder wheeling trips. After the floor gets cut up for the case I'll be doing full sound proofing especially now that I fixed the holes in the cab. Hope to get another 5ish years out of this cab and bed before I can take on getting a clean truck to redo the cab/bed shit on that isn't covered in rust. This one isn't worth restoring, just continuing to limp it as long as I can.

Yikes! You are doing 90 (if the speedo is accurate), I’ll top out around 80. Not that mpg’s are really a justifiable concern on a modded truck, but I was pulling 13 freeway. The tach and odometer were off by over 3% too, which meant I was putting more miles on than I was actually driving. Could’ve got a new speedometer gear, but there were just too many cons to it, made driving the truck less enjoyable

The current plan is actually to tackle it at Pat's new garage he is building. Sounds like we have a good ol fashioned mod day coming up now  He said I can take his crawler home while he gets my driveshafts built by his guy down the street. Can't beat that kinda offer haha!

You can see my actual speed calculated by GPS on the phone on the left. It's what I use on long trips for both nav and speedo. It leaves my music uninterrupted and my main phone not die as fast. Doing 80 I still get close to 15 mpg, it drops to 13-14 if I do 90 mph stretches.

    Actual 90:

[IMG]Untitled by MJH Creations, on Flickr

And tbh aside from needing to hold the pedal down more it still feels comfortable at 90.

I actually have the speedo gear installed. What cons besides getting closer to accurate would the speedo gear have caused? I also have 5.29's on 35's so it's still not perfect, I heard with 4.88's it gets close to perfect on 35's I think.
