I understand the envy. Shots fired at Portland are valid, but the place is run by a retired military guy living his best life.

Lesson learned on the oil plug washer- don't use the parts store copper washers.. Easy change, barely lost any oil swapping to a whole new OEM plug and washer.

When I was crawling around on the ground, I noticed some PS fluid on the PS lines... I thought it might have been the o ring from the reservoir that was leaking, but it seems to be return line... I ordered a new return line and constant tension clamps. I plan on doing a PS flush, and reservoir/screen cleaning this weekend, along with a belt change while I am in there...

    upload_2025-1-7_12-47-9.png

I'm really hoping that it's not an issue with the hard line- OEM pricing on those is north of $400...

TBH I don't see any benefit to the OEM lines vs the rock auto lines for something like PS. I replaced all of mine with Rock auto lines and it's fine. Now pump and rack on the other hand are a different story.

I'm not opposed to new non-oem lines at all. Never occurred to me that someone else would sell a part like that... For ~$70 that seems a lot more doable...

I have one of those kits somewhere, none of them come with the bearing, also it rarely fails due to being soaked in ATF.

That's fair... I'll skip that for now... It's not leaking, no reason to make it worse

No love lost man, some of my favorite memories are of the rose city.

About 20 years ago, my girlfriend and I are staying in a hotel on Burnside and some hipster cab driver picks us and another couple friends up. He asks where we wanna go, and we start deliberating, so he says how about Doug Fir?

We’re like no, no need to do coke off a toilet seat tonight.

He then says he knows a spot that’s perfect, and we’re like okay.

He drops us off in front of someone’s house and directs us to the basement, where one of his buddies has converted his parent basement into a speakeasy.

“Just call when you want me to pick you up.”

    Only in Portland.

    Pretty well stock
Today I drained the transmission and transfer case fluids. Refilled them with Red Line 50304 MT-90
Drained the front and rear differentials and refilled them with Lucas Oil 10046 80W-90 Gear Oil
Replaced the front turn signal and parking lights, as they had become cloudy.
    Replaced the wiper blades.

I'm now ready for the snowpocalypse coming in Friday. The truck is driving and shifting more smoothly.

We have rain finally coming to my area tommorrow. So after work I did PM to the original windshield gasket. The gasket was shrinking from age in the exterior upper left and right hand corners. I used leftover Permatex "the right stuff" gasket maker to fill in those areas and smoothed and contoured. Looks great and it's functional. Was not leaking to begin with but it separated a good 1/4 inch in corners.

The pumps on 4 cylinder engines have a bearing and the ones on 6 cylinder engines don’t.

I’m digging the black exhaust tip. Would go great with my black and white theme. I have a chrome tip rn. Now you got me on it.

Yeah, passenger side spring perch looks very cracked.

Haven't you fixed it once before?
