    Link didn't work..

and yes it is great for that. I think ill mount mine like where the spare tire usually goes. Cut out some of that stuff so it won't hang below the bed and drag.

Thats on next summers shopping list tho..lol

shouldn't affect it at all. Its one of the most popular places to mount them. And i have room. But the best place to mount it is where i want my second battery to go for dual batteries. So i have seen some pretty nice rear setups so i figured that would work just as great. My fav setup is is a guy cut a rectangle hole out through the bed then fabbed up a steel box and welded it to the underside of the hole. The lid was in the bed for servicing. actually he mounted his second battery back there too. I think ill just have the compressor tho.

basically yes, keeps it dry. And its not that bad really..ill kno how to weld by then so really it'll be quite simple. Less air line to run to my locker too..

yike..i don't like that..since you don't have that big ass ABS and CC in the way on the pass side of the bay..id put it over there..that is just a pain if you have to work on the motor..not to mention right over the top of the exhaust lol

Yea the Viair kits are sweet. They seem to do okay with tires..they aren't the most efficient pumps. I don't think they give the same performance for the price that the ARB does.

Thats only a pump. Not wiring harness or switches. You'd have to get that all on your own. Which is easily the 40-50 bucks difference. That stuff isn't cheap. Plus you'd have all loose wires that weren't nice a prebundled. All just depends on how much you want to work at it tho.

depends on material and how much actually R&D you want to do. if its just modding one of their base bumpers shouldn't be too bad id think.

and yea just square tubing. I don't have a tube bender. figure 1.5x1.5'' will be great with a .120 side wall. also making a tube mount for the middle.

and i can get any auto cad i want for free. Students get a 1 year license for free. But thats cool i didn't know that.

tubes are always cheaper, not as much material is used or welded and grinded on. Hell the TG low profile is a great lookin bump and its under 400 bucks.

you just gotta find the thing that you really like, and go for it.

also..i love how we have taken over this thread temporarily lol

Not like you can't put a winch on a tube. Lots of ppl do.

And yes, plates are usually more protective. But weigh more and approach angles aren't as nice a tubes.

tubes are lighter, better approach angles but less protection.

nothing new there. Since you like trail riding..id think you'd want a plate more. But lots of guys use tubes and trail ride too. all depends on what you like and the needs your building the truck for. i personally never loved tube bumpers..why i went strait to plates and then to Elites as they look amazing and work amazing too.

not a choice you need to make now tho.

get those coils and at least an AAL first. then start planning on a bumper(s)

eh, usually a 8.5'' travel 5100/5125/5150 is good for up to 3'' of lift. Really you'll just have to wait till you get it and measure. I tried guessing when i did it and had to buy two pairs of 5150s.

also you kno that there really isn't much difference between them right?

lol nah everyone is pretty nice here lol

and there isn't much. They all have the same valving so really they all ride the same.

Only difference between like 5100/5125s is livable sizes pretty much. 5125s come in a lot more sizes then either 5100 or 5150s. 5150s come in a bunch of sizes but not as many and have the resi to help cool it, oh and cool factor  lol. Thats pretty much it tho. They all ride the same is what i have read due to the same valving.

heres all the sizes for the 5125s
    http://downsouthmotorsports.com/i-135588-bilstein-5125-series-performance-shocks.html

    and 5150s
    http://downsouthmotorsports.com/i-135589-bilstein-5150-series-performance-shocks.html

and yes you CAN get 5150s in a lower valving. BUT you'd have to run two of them at the same time per side with that valving setup..

I don't think it is. 5125s are much more customizable for your application. Also read the links i just posted. Especially if you aren't gonna get an AAL...but you should get one :D

rear shocks in generally are pretty plug in play. Easy to put on and take off.

    Unless you make new mounts..

lol you didn't read the links did you.. haha 5100s collapsed length is too long for stock replacements. You have to get shorter 5125s.

and you can always get a Wheelers 4 leaf pack. Thats a new stock leaf pack basically...not cheap granted but what leaf pack is?
