That sucks man. The 3rz head gasket is pretty easy to change. The hardest part I found when doing mine was breaking the large bolt that holds the sprocket to the cam. If I was around your parts I would of deffintly gave you a hand. Good luck getting it fixed bud.

Yeah it does. I hope it is easy, I'm probably going to buy all the gaskets and head bolts and drive it down to a family run shop near me. They were great when it came to getting my cooling system flushed out. I wish it happened when I'm not in a time crunch, I'd like to do it myself but can't risk missing a part or screwing something up otherwise I'm driving a borrowed Subaru in the snow for the next three months.

Merry Christmas! At least your HDMI port on the back of your tv isn't broken so you can't play on your ps4 you just got.

I feel your pain, lived without HDMI for the first 6 years of its reign as supreme connector (old shitty TVs). Don't worry, by the time you get your TV fixed or buy a new one the PS4 might have a few games. LOL

It kinda sucks, I have to make a dump run with an absolutely full bed before I can fix the truck because it is currently full with the pieces of a 68" rear projection TV. Head gasket shit the bed when I had finished delivering a new flat screen to my grandparents for Christmas.

On the plus side, I have a cool video of me destroying the TV with a chainsaw.

Amazing how much lighter they are, right? I have a pair of white makita 18v drills. They are a few years old, but are a lot lighter than the old NiCads.

I have the drill and driver combo, they kick ass and have held up well. The 20v battery is also common with a few different brands, pretty sure the Craftsman Bolt-On cordless drill has the same battery. The battery sells pretty cheap from them too.

Okay, I went back to September looking for the pictures. Someone posted a picture of their 1st gen with 4 4" led pods mounted in the center of the lower valance. I ordered 4 and want to copy their mount since it was so clean. Can someone or the OP pm me the pictures or point me to the OP so I can quiz them on it.

    Thanks

If your going to get an impact get a Milwaukee. My dad has tried every other brand and he swears there better than the others.

I really like my wilson flex as opposed to a heavier antenna. The flexibility is nice on the trails without the need for a spring. With that being said, watch the solder joints on the top and bottom where the little thin wire connects to the ends. Both of mine have broken several times and needed to be soldered.

So, when are we going to rearch my springs combined with adding various other leafs to attempt to get my packs to actually support some weight? I do like the idea of the engine hoist. I may even be able to show up on time and bring some beer.

I can re-arch your springs, they will sit really high at first but will settle down and eventually go back to flat again with the weight you carry...wheeling and flexing them will flatten them quicker. Adding leaves will get you more lift but will ride somewhat stiff, and may give up flex.

What you need are thicker leaves to hold/maintain the arch. You can stick with your main leaf and add junkyard leafs from something more robust. Long leaves are good to work with as the can be cut down length, tapered on the ends, and added to the stack. Thicker leaves also help with axle wrap, if you're having that problem.

I noticed the last few days that mine are starting to show a bit of sag with the winter sandbags in the back, they've been on about a year now. I think I'll just get longer shackles for now.

My current pack seems very soft, I can easily move the ass end of my truck up and down a few inches by hand. And I do have a fair amount of axle wrap from what I've been told. I think most of this happened after I added longer shackles. They had a nice arch before, and now they're fairly flat and maybe even have some waves. I do love my current downtravel though.

Time to look for some Chevy leaves then I guess. I would like to work on this sometime this spring. But yeah, between the topper, toolbox, and heavy rear bumper, I need something that will better support the weight.
