I've hauled all sorts of things, it's a truck. Last night it was a mattress. I'm always saying to my wife, I could never not have a truck. They are so useful.

Went to Costco bought a couch and 2 lounges. Guy laughed at me and said there is no way you can fit all that in that little truck. Love proving them wrong. Long bed with a tool box IMG_7254.jpg

Reminds me of this at another Costco. I was laughing to myself that they weren't going to make it out of the driveway. I saw them 10 miles later in the next town in front of us doing just fine.

Took a picture of the every day haul today. All under my bakflip mx4. A lot of things get built with the tools in this bed!

Any tips for hauling a mattress and box spring (queen size, short bed)? I assume ratchet straps are necessary; I've never really hauled anything large in my truck before (I got it this year) so I am newb with anything that requires straps to tie down.

Nothing fun. I could have stuffed more without issue.

Also first time I remove the factory tonneau conver, that went well.

Couple pics from fall. The firewood load was rough. Definitely overloaded. My guess is somewhere around 1,500 lbs, maybe more. All fresh white pine. Truck was a little squirrely. Mulch was easy. Got 1.5 yards no problem and handled fine.

I've pulled the race truck to the desert a few times when my F250 was being used for something else. It'll still get 12 mpgs while the truck, trailer, fuel, tools and spare tire come right up to the GCWR limit and it will still do 75 up Cajon and the other passes to Vegas.

Race truck is down for an engine rebuild right now and in the mean time I'll be modifying the trailer to better run a weight distribution hitch.

Just a question for Gen3ers who tow moderate to heavy loads. (4000 lbs +) if you are too heavy on the gas when taking off, do you break traction? Even with considerable tongue load? Let's say your crossing a busy highway and gun it for a break in traffic.
