No not if you balance your load properly. I've had the trailer for 5 years and 2 Tacomas and I've never had an issue with the trailer trying to walk around or push me around, save for one when the strap on the mower broke and it rolled to the back... wheeeeee!

I don't do a bunch of heavy hauling.

I bought my truck for a daily driver and playtime.

Here it is taking my dirtbike up to the forest for a little session.

Towed aliner approx 1250 lbs and hauled inflatable boat with 5hp motor and all fishing gear approx 200 lbs in the bed. Got about 18 mpg on a couple of different trips through southern Nevada and Utah.

I hauled my mama over to Lubbock for her doctor appointment. I wanted to take a pic but she said she brought me into this world and if I took a picture she would take me out. Soooo, no pics.

Didn't get any pics, but a couple weeks ago I had a kayak in the back, pulling a small bass boat with a bike stowed in it. Fuel economy sucked, but it worked.

I've been hauling the boat around. I got it all weighed at the cat scales and will be below all the limits by a hair, but with the family in the Truck we will be right at the 5,600 pound gvwr for the truck itself. The truck without the boat and just me in it is 4,880. Then the boat adds a 520 tongue weigh so total truck weight with me in it is 5,160 (there must be some shiftage). Total gross with me in the Truck is 9,220 so I have a little wiggle room with gcvwr. Trailer has surge brakes on both axles that are amazingly helpful. I don't care for that little slam when starting back out from a stop and the linkage in the tongue stretches back out, but whatever. I also have a set of air ride air bags gonna be here tomorrow for the truck to help with the squat....IMG_7205.jpg
