A while back I was looking to upgrade my wheels and tires. Trying to find the most cost effective (read cheep) route to get what I wanted, I decided to stick with the factory wheels and just get some bigger tires. Through out my search I also found some nice(read cheap) lifts thanks to some of the members of TW :)

So now as soon as I sell my bike and pay off my boat I'm gonna pick up the 2.5 toytec lift w/aal and a set of 265/75 16 BS Dueller A/T revos, I just think the truck is gonna look fierce.

I was told the limiting factor in going with a wider tire is the upper controle arm. Even with the lift, the 285 wouldn't clear.

There is a guy I work with that has after market 16" wheels with 305's. I haven't talked to him yet, but maybe the wheels give enough offset to fit.

You can always add a wheel spacer to make the 285's fit.

I talked to the kid at work with the 305's and the offset from the wheels clear that upper controle arm. He still rubbs a little when the wheel is fully turned.

As for me, the "At home Commander" talked me into waiting until I need new tires. I whined for hours about how much I hate the factory look and how much better the new tires are but she wouldn't budge.
