What is a fair price.

2001 Kawasaki Vulcan (1500) with just over 14k miles. Bikes been sitting by the road all summer. Guy said he was asking 4500, now looking for 3500. Just before I left said he would take 3k.

Thoughts

 

I'd offer him about $1 per CC... The years are many.

 

after talking with him, he would feel like 1500 is a slap in the face. He already told me he refused 2500.

I dont know. I'll stop by tomorrow or tonight and take photos and get more info. Just don't want to look to interested without having a fair price in mind, nor waste time and hope if it's a bad deal.

 

looking at KBB the difference on this goes from about $2900 (Vulcan Classic)-$3850 (Vulcan Nomad FI I'm assuming fuel injected) and that is suggested retail from a dealer for a 2001 Vulcan, sorry they didn't list private party prices. those prices are based on my location but maybe it gets you closer to an amount.

I don't know shit about motorcycles, rode for a few years, got hit and haven't been on a bike since.

 

just make sure you know what model it is, I was surprised on what a price difference there was.
