My 2014 Tacoma makes this whistling noise at highway speed that has been driving me nuts. The noise almost sounds like high pitch morse code and seems to come from the top of the front driver's side door/window - right beside my head. The outside of my door looks completely normal and same as the passenger's side but for whatever reason this only occurs on the driver's side. I don't have those side window shades either. Any ideas what's causing this?

It's the rubber door seals. There is a TSB with new, improved seals or numerous DIY fixes for it.

You are the man! Thanks for the input. Gonna do a little more research but I think I'm leaning towards this DIY fix:

I did a DIY fix years ago and am happy with the results.

Toyota replaced the driver side seal on my 2015 even as it was just out of warranty. Being a Toyota owner for 40 years helped, I think...

The new Toyota seals work perfectly. No more kazoo noise. There are plenty of DIY approaches that are likely to work equally well. It's really a matter of stiffening the bulb seal. Very fixable.

Absolutely the door seals, my local dealership replaced the seals on my 2014 at no charge and no noise since.
