I was wondering what the advantage of flipping the rear leaf spring u-bolt is besides lowering the risk of it getting caught. Are there any other advantages?

Yeah u-bolt flip kits are mainly so they won't get hung up, damaged and for ground clearance.
It was also easier to torque from the top then rolling around under my truck to torque them. That was the only other advantage I saw in them.

They look way better too :p

Does make it harder to attach airbags down the road, but I dislike them anyway.

If I were to do a spring swap in the rear on any future tacoma I own, I would do the ubolt flip for sure.

I live in northern Ohio and I have a problem with ice packing into the stock lower u-bolt bracket. Does anyone on here run a flip kit that lives up north with the salt and does the flip kit eliminate the ice packing up in there. just wondering if there are other advantages or just spend my money on something else.
