well i have a 1998 4x4 xtra cab and im looking to do a little lift. i ocassionally do some offroading and drive offroad during hunting season. but its not hardcore stuff. and plan to run 33s i have been looking at billies and a 1.5 aal for the rear to level out and a little lift. or the OME lift. i know there is about a 300 dollars difference. but with what i may be doing what do you think will be the best for me. and if there is any pics of trucks with billies or OME lift would be nice.
thanks for help and any suggestions.

both are good options. really depends on how much you wanna spend. the OME kit will give you a nicer ride cause it replaces the front coil springs, the bilis just compress the stocks

well i really wanted the ome lift but i dont think i do enough offroading to justify paying 650 for the lift. i like the billies because i get a little lift and replace all the shocks and it has a longer warranty on it. i know that it compresses the spring but would that be just like puttting a spacer lift on the front?

like i said, how much you wanna spend. if you dont mind spending $700 on suspension (which is actually pretty cheap and the OME kit is a great bang for your buck) then i'd go with OME. bili 5100's are nice but is gonna be a firmer, possibly "more rough ride" and the truck is your DD so you want to be comfortale.

IMO the OME is def worth the extra couple hundred bucks over the bili 5100's. besides the 5100's are on back order everywhere

thank for for the help and suggestions im going to be doing some more research but it does seem like the ome lift would be a better choice cause i would like looks, performance, and def.a comfortable ride and with the the oem atleast i will get new springs, and a add a lear to give the back a little lift.

if i did decide to get the billies instead of the ome lift. are the billies still a good source of lift that can handle some offroading without causing any more stress on any components compared to the ome. just trying to make sure if i did choose them that it is a good choice.

No it shouldn't.. Just make sure to do the diff. drop kit. So that your front CV's are at better angles.
And with 5100's its kinda nice, bc if you get tire of the ride quality or just want to go a little higher, you can always get the OME coils that will give you a 3" lift later on. All you gotta do is set the 5100's down to stock hight, and slap on the new coils.

i have been thinking about that to i could just get the 5100s right now then later get the ome coils and will save me a little money for right now. i can get a aal later to i guess. is the ride quality with just 5100s bad?

i'd get the OME shocks if your gonna run OME coils. the shocks are designed to be run with those springs. the 5100's are not, obviously.

I dont think its too bad. Its better then a spacer lift but a little stiffer then stock bc your still compressing the stock spring.
But you will for sure want to get the OME coils later on!

True, True.... It will give a better ride then 5100's as well. But I know a few people running 5100's with OME coils that are happy with there set-up.
Im just trying to save the dude a little mulla...
But yeah, If you want the best ride possible, I would match up the OME coils and shocks.
