    A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
    My ordered Toyota Tacoma AC 4x4 AT has been sitting on a lot Near Kansas City for TWO WEEKS waiting to be delivered (according to my dealer).
    This is very POOR customer service in my opinion. My dealer has gotten other "stock" tacomas delivered in the same period of time. Toyota is starting to treat existing customers the way Cable and satellite TV companies do, that is, "we got his business --now lets forget about him"!

    Do you have an actual VIN, there was a member on here that could track VIN´s.
    Did you order any Port Installed options?, or is this sitting on another dealer lot and it was a dealer transfer?
    If a dealer transfer then it has nothing to with Toyota, it is a dealer issue.

    sometimes the simplest answer is the best answer.

    OP, I can't think of why Toyota or the dealer would intentionally delay the sale. they want to get paid, and they don't get paid until you sign and take delivery. I know it sucks to wait, but patience young grasshopper... your day will come.

    That's what I was thinking. I'm not sure how it works but I understood that once it was delivered to a dealer then it's not corporate anymore, it's a dealer trade. The dealer with the truck now may not really want to give it up or your dealer isn't trying very hard.

    Never take a dealership at it's word. Your dealer may be feeding you a line of BS. Your dealer may not have been "allocated" an access cab 4x4 AT. They may have worked a swap with another dealer. If you placed an order it will take a lot more than two weeks for it to arrive.

    If your truck is sitting on a lot near KC the way your dealer says then it's more than likely the transport companies fault. There's always a possibility that the unit is on hold for a possible port mod. If that's the case the unit won't ship until the issue has been corrected. There's to much liability involved if they ship the unit and the dealer doesn't correct the issue. If thats the case the dealer probably doesn't even know that. OEM's aren't in the habit of telling anyone when they have problems that need to be corrected before the dealership receives the units. It's a pretty rare occurrence but it does happen. Toyota has a very extensive process of identifying and correcting these types of issues. Your dealer needs to call the region and find out why it's been sitting there for 2 weeks and request that it be expedited.

    If it was damaged on rail this is a possibility.

    Also a possibility depending on how remote the dealer is and what kind of volume that dealer or dealers close to it receives.

    The dealer can't delay a unit that's at port. Even if they could they would be crazy to delay a sold unit.

    It's kinda like going to a restaurant, ordering, then wondering why the people that sat down after you got their food first. And then you get angry at the server without knowing what's going on in the kitchen.

    Toyota, like every other auto manufacturer, wants to sell as many vehicles as possible as quickly as possible. The dealership isn't pulling a quick one on you, there's a legitimate reason why it's delayed. Could be transport related, could be a manufacturing/assembly issue...could be a lot of things but speculating isn't going to get it here faster.

    Be patient and enjoy getting a truck exactly the way you wanted it, even if it takes longer than you'd like.
