What brand/model air compressor have you installed in the engine compartment?

If I can find one that fits under the hood, that would be my preference vs a portable one which I would have to find a place for[which means leaving something else at home because I just don't have room for anything else].

Primary use is airing up/down when offroad, and of, course, a flat tire if that happens.

I have a full time slide-in camper so cannot put it in the bed. It must go in engine compartment, if I can find one that will fit.

I'd rather not think of all the $ spent :(
Mine is mounted just like above but I have the Viair 450. It could easily be mounter on the passenger side of my engine bay, right above the tire well.

I have a viair 450p hardmounted in engine bay, plumbed an airline under frame to rear bumper with a quick connect next to license plate. Wire a remote switch in same area.

I have no clue. I bought the cheap ones for years and they always failed me. Then I went to a pancake style but as you said, more stuff to carry. I found this style on TW. I'm real happy with this Viair.

ARB Single mounted to the triple stud fender mount, but may go to the double for no actual reason other than I want to. Planning on reloing to a slee mount to fit a 2x battery system.

I have the ARB twin mounted using the Slee off road mount. I wanted the back area for the 2nd battery in the future.

I love the Slee mount, it is so easy to remove the compressor for the winter, takes like 1 hour. I dont want to subject my beautiful compressor to the stupid road salt here. Since I have no place to off road in the winter, it just gets removed and replaced, nice and easy.

It outputs to the bed box with my diff breather.

Did you just run an airline along the frame rail to the cubby? A chuck front and rear is on my to do list.

Yes sir, I have a chuck at the compressor which I have never used yet, and one in the bed which I use all the time.

Sweet. Thanks. I use the chuck in the engine bay and I can reach all 4 corners, but why not go big? :D

One of my friends has a chuck in all 4 wheel wells with some sort of pressure shutoff valve. He has 4 short hoses so he can fill all of them at the same time. It's WAY overdone, but pretty sweet.

I thought of the chucks in all 4 wheels, then realized how overkill it was. The hose that comes with the ARB twin reaches all 4 corners from the bed box with no problem.

Implying half the crap we do to our trucks isn't already overkill? :D

Viair 450p not hard mounted though. Extremely quiet and works great.

I have the ARB CKMA2 in the engine bay. It's bolted to the wheel well right behind the fuse box. I thought about plumbing an air chuck somewhere, but realized how hot this thing gets. I like having the hood open for air flow. If airing up more than one truck, I drape a wet rag over the compressor to help with cooling.

Yea I have heard the CKMA2 gets hot, the twin has a fan that runs if its on. I have tested it out airing up several rigs in a row no stopping, just to see and it does not even get warm.

Unrelated, what do you use that andersen connector for by the hitch?
