Hmmm interesting. I have never seen that before. Does it turn the alarm system off maybe?

Its not a button, its just a lil red light and like a very small speaker, the light flashes when the truck is closed, also, i found in the rear of the truck a blind module (i dont know if i should call it that) but its that plastic piece next to the security module, seems to me like they installed a factory alarm and the installer forgot to throw away the plastic piece....

That is part of the factory alarm. It's a alarm status indicator as well as a microphone that is used as a break glass sensor. If you arm your alarm and lightly tap the driver side window it should trip the alarm.

I'm trying to figure this out, i cant understand why i have that sensor/light, if i don't have the rs3200 (not that i know), i don't think they install it as a factory option here in Mexico.....

Does the light flashes after about 60 seconds after you lock the doors and the key is not in the ignition? If it does try tapping the center of the driver side window glass with the tip of your key. Be careful not to do it to hard you may cause the window to break depending on the force you apply. If your horn starts wailing after tapping then you have a factory alarm. It is VIP-3200 plus is the only factory installed alarm for the 2005+ tacoma.

I Checked all the accessory function checks in page 17, all of them worked, i didnt wanted to try the glass tap thing coz i might break the glass.... what do you think??

If you follow everything in the instruction in verifying the functions with the exception of tapping the glass it is all up to you. I was skeptical when i got my truck but by just lightly tapping the window the alarm did trip for me.

Its probably some dealership add-on. It could be any brand they choose. Probably not a name brand. They make money off that stuff.

That's the RS-3200 alarm I think. If all other functions work and you are not sure about tapping the glass roll the window down and then arm it and clap your hands in front of the speaker.

Yep, if it's the rs3200 you should be able to program it. I believe the instructions for the programing are posted in 007tacoma's photo gallery.
