I know, I know, i am getting WAY ahead of myself on this thred and questions as i still have i would say 25-40 hrs worth of work on my taco in thread 2.7l issues and problems... but have been thinking about this now and trying to plan out my budget, when i see them pick them up, etc..

So i have a 1998 tacoma, 2.7l with 4x4 manual..... figured while i have it in a warmer place then out side, do all the fluids as i will be 3/4ths through them anyways and most havent been done in 60k+ and i have 220k on the girl...

    so....
    1. What is a good synthetic oil to use?
    2. What is a good antifreeze to use? the normal pink stuff or regualar ok?
    3. What is a good transmission and transfer case gear oil to use?
    4. What is a good diff gear oil to use?
    5. What is a good brake fluid to use?
    6. What is a good clutch fluid to use?
    7. What is a good P/S fluid to use?

If i have missed anythink, let me know. I have so basic ideas, but what some opinions before i give mine. Have beeen reading ALOT on here and its help out more then anyone knows. Thanks for the advice in advance, happy trails through the new year, cheers!

I enjoy doing oil changes so in my opinion synthetic is pointless. I run Dino oil & change it every 4 to 5k. I run whatever name brand is on sale but more often then not I use Super tech. Been using it for years.

I just changed the oil in my rear end a few nights ago & used Valvoline full synthetic 75w-90. They only had 3 quarts of Valvoline left so in the front end I'm running Delo full synthetic 75-90.

Transmission & transfer case I'm running Redline MT-90 75-90 full synthetic.
