Amsoil states that oil changes can be between 15k - 25k mile intervals. Any opinions? I've used Amsoil previously and loved it.

AMSOil is a great oil, but I wouldn't trust any oil for that long of an interval. The fact is the oil still gets dirty, it just continues to lubricate better than conventional oil. I'll just continue to change at the factory rec of 5k miles.

synthetic blend is ok, but its also ok to just switch over to full synthetic. it depends on what you can afford, and what you are comfortable with doing. if you wanna use a syn. blend, feel free. if you are doing the blend, i suggest running it for 3k miles, then going full syn., then changing oil every 5k miles, but thats just me!! check out http://theoildrop.server101.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?Cat=0

for more info, its bobistheoilguy.com....alotta awesome info!!

What is Toyota using in the factory? My 04 Ford was using synthetic blend out of the factory. Thanks for the info.

Mobil 1 10W30 in the summer and Mobil 1 5W30 the rest of the time. I prefer a little thicker oil in the heat of the summer. Mobil 1 oil filter too
