    I disagree

Opening exhaust changes the way the motor responds and the power band. Does not mean less power.

Low end power is lost though. Which lets be honest, is very important for us being trucks and most of us spend all our time driving below 2.5k rpms.

But you do gain top end from a better flowing system.

Either way. I echo everyone else. Don't get straight pipes with out forced induction. Not worth it.

Replacing the stock muffler is okay. I'd recommend a magnaflow. 11" or 14" for louder sound. 18" for just better sound but not stupid loud

Also think long term. In high school it's cool for it to be loud and stupid. But once you hit the hwys with college and adulthood. You will HATE the drone. One of the cool thing about Magnaflows is they tend to actually quiet down around the cruising rpms.

Check out the Borla Exhaust. They used to do the TRD exhaust. You can find a cat back for about $560. Anybody who has it will tell you it's worth it.

I personally plan to go with a full cat back system but I have to talk myself into it considering I hate the sound of any v6 truck with loud exhaust lol. But it will benefit my s/c alot.

If you want it to sound like a z71 with straight pipes, just get someone to ride in the bed of your truck and slap some 2x4's or bricks together while they scream at the top of their lungs. It will sound identical to the z71 :D.

If I turn and hit a bump too fast yes. But I trimmed the plastic and beat the pinch weld.

Stealthy too, that way, nobody knows it's Ian coming down the road. Handy for sneaking around, or hiding the bodies

I had an aero turbine 2525 just like you guys suggested. And it was not deep enough so I got a exhaust cutout (similar to stright pipe) and it is WAY deeper. Sounds amazing.
