    On my search for tires, I ran into the only E range being offered in a certain size. Had a set on this Tacoma for 4 days, took them off for the C rated tire. I would air down for a good enough ride, and the side wall started holding the truck up, not the air in the tire. 34 psi and below, the tires would squirm and move all over. Just my expierience. I'm going to be on the E boat soon enough, like OZ said, next tire is KM2 255/80r17, only one load range offered.

    My experiance with e rated has been good. With the oem p rated pos bfg's the truck felt like it was leaning into the corners and would follow the ruts in the road. I had it aligned a couple times after a 2" lift...didn't help. After going to the 265/75/r16 bfg a/t's in e rated the truck now feels like it's riding on rails in the turns...no leaning. Also, it no longer follows the ruts...tracks straight as an arrow. I run 36 psi front/34 back according to the chalk test. I've ran many sets of e rated bfg a/t's on Toyota's for years and honestly can't remember ever having a problem or a flat. Most have lasted around 70,000 miles. Are they over kill for these trucks...yep, but they do have their benifits.

    With the extra weights I'm worried the suspension will wear faster and the power loss will be too much. I refuse to regear too. Too much of an upgrade for me

    well I lost some power going from 265/65/17 dueler to 265/70/17 bf a/t

    Keep in mind, he has a 4 banger, went to a taller tire, went from H/T to an aggressive A/T and a heavier tire. I wouldn't doubt that you'd feel the effects of all that with the smaller engine.
