All of them. Just kidding. I down loaded all the usgs quads for south east oregon and topo maps basically of the western states. All through the garmin app.

well...i spose that is a bunch of data!
I did pick up the inreach mini for the messaging & sos capabilities...will continue to use the bad elf for gps receiver for now. i’m liking the gaia premium for $40/year...usgs topo, google satellite view, plus a lot more.
southeast oregon is on the bucket list for sure!

Well I figured since I'm paying for the garmin sub I way as well use the app. But you can't import gpx or kmz files or whatever to it. So there is that. You have to pay for the ability to download maps for offline use with Gaia. There are pros and cons to them all, I am just trying to figure out the best setup. The app did work very well in the backcountry of eastern oregon and nevada. Had even the most minor tracks on the map.

you can import gpx files to gaia easily - you prolly knew that...
to keep subscription costs down, i chose the garmin freedom plan which enables you to stop & start depending on trip schedules.
