I use the Toyota one. It's 7 bucks which is cheaper than the name brand ones around here (Fram/Mobil etc run $8-$12) and it comes with a drain plug gasket! :D

Toyota. Around here it is in the same ballpark as the aftermarket filters.
I then record each change on the Toyota owners site and keep receipts.

I use toyota filters, they are 5.25 at my dealer and they give new washers for the plug with each filter. Almost can't beat that price.

I run an OEM Toyota filter always, and also believe in Toyota brake caliper pads too. Other than those two I can go aftermarket :)

I have a pack of 10 short filters, that i am trying to sell. They are not the correct ones for the 4.0. Brand new, Toyota OEM. $45 shipped. Thats less than $4 each..

Nice, I wish I could get a similar deal up here. Here's my best bet from Amazon.ca which I imagine doesn't include sales tax or shipping. Cheaper to buy them individually from my dealer lol

The big "8A" filters also work. I had a Fram XG8A on my new truck when I took it in for the free Toyota Care oil change at 10k miles. (I had changed the oil at 5K.) They didn't say a word. I like the idea of a large filter for extended drain intervals. I can pick a high efficiency oil filter and leave it on with no worries. This filter has 3.5 times the filter area of the Toyota filter. You could leave it on for a couple of oil changes if you wanted, the way Honda does. I wouldn't do this, but no worries for 15K miles. This is overkill, but it also allows more oil in the sump which is also a help for an extended drain.

When I hit 20K miles I will be using Mobil 1 EP for the full 15K miles. 15K is a walk in the park for this oil. Wear metal production decreases as oil ages. Early oil changes increase wear. No one knows why this happens. This is completely counter intuitive but the UOA's prove this. I will have my oil tested after break in.

I always use one of these on my 2.7, in order of preference:
Mobil M1-102 (good for extended OCI with full synthetic oil)
    Purolator Pure One PL10241
    WIX 51348/Napa Gold 1348
    Bosch 3330
    Denso 150-1002
    Motorcraft FL-910s/Purolator Classic 10241

I won't use the Toyota 90915-YZZD1, it is made in Thailand and many of the latest filter reviews /deconstruction reveal questionable construction for this Thai-Toyota filter. There are many quality oil filters available at the same price (Motorcraft, Purolator classic, AC Delco, etc). Heck, buy a case of the WIX 51348 filters for dirt cheap: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00P9QZFUU
