So I’m living in tehachapi right now (Mountain) between mojave and bakersfeild CA with that being said I have noticed my brakes and clippers reduced effectiveness with over heating but they are regular brakes & calipers nothing special. I’m looking to get something that could either help my braking power or reduce over heating. I heard that calipers with grooves/holes and such help with this sort of thing so I just want to get any of your input on the subject if you run the types of rotors I’m speaking of, what are the best brands etc.

Tundra 13WL brake calipers are the way to go. They're 231mm which allow for much greater braking performance than any stock tacoma brake setup can handle.

I’m wanting to do this in the future too as I’m going to be switching to a tundra rear end eventually how much is the tundra front brake conversion about all together?

Just looked it up and everything I’m going to buy it I’m stoked now thanks man. Just to confirm this is the exact set up you bought for the truck right? And the new brake lines will fit my existing hardlines?

I don't recall if that's the exact combo I bought. But here are the brake lines I used. Yes they're advertised for S13WE but they work for 13WL. LCE makes the only true stock replacement aftermartket SS brake line since everyone else uses banjo bolt brake lines and LCE uses the hard line flares lines. https://www.lceperformance.com/Stainless-Brake-Line-Kit-Tacom-To-Tundra-Upgrade-p/1055114.htm

Actually the only things I used from that kid were the calipers and pads, I bought performance Baer rotors as a package deal from a member on here.

OH AND YOU MUST HAVE 16" WHEELS OR THESE WILL NOT FIT!

Alright awesome so those brake lines will connect straight to the tundra calipers correct? I don’t need anything else besides what you have told me?
I like that LCE give you a 6” extension which I’ll need for my LT kit

Yes the LCE kit will have everything you need. You will need to cut your brake shields a little to make the bigger Calipers fit.

Maybe this is bad advise, but I'm using the stock Tacoma rubber line and banjo bolts. I used two of those washers between the banjo fitting and caliper. Has been that way for 2 years and 3-4 wheeling trips. Zero issues, and no leaks.
