I'm looking to buy a pair of Dakar leaf springs this week and wondering which rear shocks you guys have one with this kit. I know I have to upgrade shocks that can go up to 3 inches in lift from what I hered. Thanks for the help.

I'm running OME shocks with mine.

You can run OME, FOX, Icon, King or whatever you want with them.

Oh really ? I don't know the person at the shop said I needed to upgrade rear shocks to be able to run the Dakar springs. I currently have blistein with the resevioirs. Did you ad a leaf to the dakars or did you ad new shackles?

I didn't do AAL or shackles. My truck was only 2-3 months old when I lifted it. I installed mine with a full OME kit.

Ok most likely I will have to upgrade from my blisteins which I didn't want to. But I have to do it I guess

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
you do not have to. i have dakars with aal and stock shocks in right now. shocks will just be the limiting factor in droop. if you want to use all the droop of the dakars you will need extended brake lines, longer bump stops and longer shocks

damn thats a fully upgraded lift setup already. if those leafs are what i think they are then the dakars will be a downgrade

I went with 10'' fox shocks from All Pro Offroad ( )

These shocks will allow you to get full droop out of the Dakar leaf springs, but your bump stops will need to be extended to prevent you from bottoming out the shocks.

I think it's a all pro leafs but not 100%. But when Added the camper shell and when I go camping trips loaded with gear it gets way too low. My buddie has Dakar with a shell and it doesn't goe down at all or at least not noticeably.

Yeah. You have the extended brake line. Plus a U bolt flip kit and bumpstops installed already and a shock relocation. Looks like a nice set up back there, besides if the leaf springs are All pro, they must be the Standards since the Expeditions would be able to handle more weight. But still really nice!

    list is growing fast
fox 2.0's have three choices for length... IIRC 0-1", 1-2.5", and 3-5.5". I think you want the 3-5.5" of lift shock, part number ending in 118, to match with the dakars.
