I have a 2008 Tacoma (2WD), that currently has 15" wheels/tires 215/7OR15 that are 5-lug. I would like to install some factory 17" wheels/tires P265/65R17 that came off of a 2018 Tacoma (6-lug). I know that I need adapters for the lug/bolt pattern, however I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions/tip for this type of installation, e.g., lift kit, etc.. Thank you in advance for your time!

You really need to be in the 5 lug forum and study what folks there have done.

Just realize it's neither simple nor cheap.

Soooo first off there's the black box you need to remove.(just search Tacoma black box mod). My biggest concern is the adapters. I'm currently running them in the rear only because I did an axle swap and let me tell you they stick out 2 in more on each side.(also I should note that it does wear the bearings faster) The rear is no problem but it's the front that might be a bugger. The tire may stick out to far and rub on the back part of the fender.

As for lift here's some useful info ( pretty much just a spacer lift with some billie shocks)
