I tried searching for this and came up empty or just flat out missed it....I've seen others post about changing out the oem "turn latches?" and replacing them with keyed locks for more security. I'm looking for the correct size (length and offset) of the locking mechanism. I've found several different sizes, would like to order the correct size only once this time!....for this mod. I never copied the link, when someone recently posted one here. Thanks for the help! Bill in MA

Thanks for the fast reply - that's an older thread, but the info is still very helpful. Someone recently posted in the past week or so, a link to Amazon that had a 4 pack of black locks that I'm still trying to find too. Thanks for the help - Bill in MA

    Take your pick:

I like those barrel locks. I am half tempted to upgrade mine to those black ones.

Probably not. I had to use the long, straight cam and bend it slightly toward the lid for it to engage tightly.

There were the ones that I used and it came with a few different cams:

Thank you - I have saved what you sent. I have a Lowes about 6 miles from here and I'll try to grab one after work to "test drive". I just found these as well, I may be overthinking this a bit, but I think these would be useful, keeping dirt, dust, etc out of the locking mechanism. https://lsidepot.com/Dust-Cover-p192.html Thanks Bill in MA

    No problem.

If you are there and they have three with the same key code, you should grab them.

I have not had a problem with dust or dirt. I mainly haul boxes, pallets, and such. I prefer to shovel out of my trailer.

You can blast them with graphite or WD40.
