Trust me - there are few people that I trust as much for car audio as Marv...

...I know there are some, I just can't think of their names...

    ...gimme a minute...

...ok, I will get back to you on that one.

I have two sets of MBQuart 6.5 components now running on a ALPINE MRV-F400 60rms x4 I did have them on my two MRV-1000's 200rms x2 600rms x1 but those are now on my 12"typeR 4ohm DVC... I think the 12 has a peak 1200 and a 600rms rating but let me tell you this sucker takes 1200rms like a champ.

I used to have these amps in my 93 turbo MR2 on two 10" solobarics and the MRV-F400 running 6.5 kappa's and had to use a bass cap, but the truck seems to be fine without one (or should I add one?). BTW anyone know what the voltage is on the big battery that came whith the bed ac/tow package?

Not to rant but why dose it seem like the quality of amp's are falling? Is alpine the only company who seems to think quality power matters (PDX)? Has Bose killed the aftermarket! (my wifes cx-7's premium 5 channel bose sound system is truly amazing)

nice set up with the alpine amps. i used to have 3 12" type-r's running off of an mrd-1005 with no problems whatsoever.

the pdx's are great amps. i have a pdx-5 running my whole system which consists of type-r components in the front, coax's in the rear and the jl stealthbox behind the seat. it sounds amazing and i couldn't be happier.

on another pdx note. i am currently in the process of installing a 150.4, 100.4, 600.1, and a 1000.1 in a 60 foot viking sportfish all running jl's marine speakers. 6 10" subs and 12 7.7" coax's. i can't wait until it's all done and i can crank it up.
