Ya, its amazing how many small chips I have in it for never hearing a damn sound / rocks hitting the windshield.

Last year I parked my truck and a friends house who lives near Lucerne Valley a wide open Desert area . Within just a few hours the Desert winds pitted my windshield and the r/front corner ( fender and grill ) got paint damage

Also this is the 2nd windshield I've put in my Toyota in 2 yrs

Seen them and experienced a few overseas on deployments, been lucky being here in Tucson, Phoenix seems to bear that burden.

If you think it’s bad here, never get stationed in Alaska or drive down the ALCAN highway! My new black 4Runner looked horrible before it was totaled. Every vehicle’s front end paint up there would be chipped and screwed up within the first few years, and you’d be lucky if you didn’t have to replace your windshield every other year. I don’t think it’s a lack of Toyota paint/windshield quality, but more so about where/how you drive and if you happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It sucks but could always be worse.

You can thank those nice people that pull over for you when you want to pass. Its their fault. Bittersweet aint it.

I bet. I'm sure almost everything is gravel road / lose rock. Brave driving a black truck let alone a black truck there. lol.

Have you never passed someone on a two lane road where they pull over to let you pass? Like it was stated earlier the shoulders are covered in loose pebbles, which even though you may not hear it are being kicked up and hitting your truck.

Gotcha, mostly 3 lanes for my daily driving so no shoulder good samaritans.

Some of the roads up here are basically 35mph dirt roads and have paved sections . Makes for fun travel in inclement weather !!!!

I don't care about small chips in the windshield because heck its going to happen. I just hate it when the chip is right in your line of sight and shining when the sun hits it. Never fails, Ive had a 2016 taco with a chip in my line of sight and now my 2019 taco with 300 miles on it same thing. Really annoying and you just have to live with it. Funny how toyota can do a recall for rusted out frames but not for a crappy windshield smh.
