what to do about rear diff. fluid???

    20% tint, painted handles,painted grill, wet okole seatcovers,sockmonkey decals
    i have a 2008 4x4 SR5 truck non-trd...and ive not been able to find out forsure by the VIN or a rear diff tag if its got a LSD or not.....no tag on the rear diff, and the dealer couldnt find out anything for me by the VIN...so what fluid would u use??? theres no locker or diff buttons inside. thanks

    I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
    Keep in mind that all Double cab long bed 2005-2008 have LSD by default ... even if they are not TRD sport.

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    some 05-08 non-sports in sr5 had the LSD option. if there is no sticker on the rear diff stating to use LSD oil, then I would say you have an open.

    ok thanks guys...yeah there is no sticker on the diff saying LSD so i figure its a open diff.

    Doug Thorley Long Tube Headers, Eclipse 6620 AVN GPS/DVD, K&N Drop-in Air Filter, Hose clamp mod, Redline Quick Lift Elites, Bilstein 5100's at .85, Firestone Ride Rite Air Bags, Weather Techs front and back, Bug Guard, and Factory Bull Bar, Wet Okole's up front, Bed Mat, LED interior lights, Fumoto Oil Valve
    Use Royal Purple or Mobil1 synthetic and you should be fine either way.
