Got a nice Cyber Monday deal on lodging for 5 days in Keystone. Super pumped to see the mountains and do basic tourist shit for 5 days. I've never been west of Missouri or Arkansas. I wont be boarding or skiing and those in my group that are will be finished by 2-3pm (so they say).

Anyone have any recommendations for things to do that aren't directly related to the resort? I would love to get some good landscape photography in while I'm there and we will have a rental car too. Flying in to Denver.

Plenty to take photos of... you could always do some tubing if you're not a skier/boarder. Hang out around Loveland Pass and you may get to see some back country people skiing or boarding, good photos there. Also VAG (Volkswagen Audi Group) uses the pass as a test area for cars in the winter months, lambo's Bugatti's rolling around. Dillon res is there also, it may or not be frozen depending when you are in town.

Thanks! Looks like Loveland pass is less than 20 minutes from where we're staying. Will for sure check it out.

Your options are really limited in Winter. All I could toss out is maybe a Trip over to Breckenridge via Swan Mtn road ("Behind" or South of lake Dillon) or drive out to Leadville. Both of these are Historic Mountain towns over the "Ski resort Built" town in Keystone.

If you Fly Fish you could fish the Blue below the dam and watch monster trout not take your fly :D
