Greetings all. I been giving some serious thought on purchasing a 2012 4wd access cab, V6, auto with the TRD package.

How does the V6 and auto perform? Good? Adequate? Dog?

Most of my driving is 75% highway, 25% city and I drive pretty easy, rarely go over 60 on the highway and usually coast to a stop if I can. Would it be reasonable to expect 18-20 mpg?

I have a 2010 but more or less the same truck. It performs well. Mileage could be better but I knew that before I bought it. I've driven mine all over the states of Oregon and Washington fully loaded over mountains with no issues with performance. The motor in these trucks is strong. I've only done light towing with mine but others seem to think they pull well.

    Welcome to TW!

ATO front skid (need more but icon's might fail if I hang anything else from my truck) All-Pro front bumper thanks to a good deal here and a pesky encounter with a rock or 20, total chaos uppers.
Pretty much should be similar to the 05-11s hopefully they finally fixed the front axle. My 05 has been pretty reliable minus the front axle issue.
A pretty comfortable ride (I'm 6'3") and i have zero issues. It's very comfortable on long trips. Has plenty of power and pickup for a mid sized truck. I have even pulled a friends 21 foot boat a few times and it does the job.
If you lift it at all or put on aggressive tires expect a little less in the milage department. Before my lift I averaged about 17 if I kept my foot out it.
