Off topic, but are those OEM step/nerf bars? I thought the little bit that curves in was supposed to be at the front of the vehicle, not towards the back?

I have the OEM factory hard tri fold cover works great. No leaks and no holes from the punks which throw their smoking waste on your soft cover at red lights and make holes.

My Diamond Back has been über Sat for me. I like the security and robust build quality of it. Sometimes gets a little water underneath, but very minor amounts.

I’m looking at the Exfang solid 2.0 and the Exfang Trifecta 2.0. It looks like it would be easy to install (no drilling etc), can remove and allows use of the bed rails.
Are any of you guys happy with the Exfang? Any opinions of solid vs trifecta? Any similar models that anyone would recommend?

They’re OEM, came with the truck when I bought it new. They’re curved the same on both ends.

Another vote for the Trifecta, easy on and easy off. Used the tonneau cover in the winter and a softopper in the summer, could have them swapped in 15 min. No issues with mine and I was the second owner of it.

I vote for the Trifecta. Looks great and easy install. Down the road I may go with a solid cover, but right now this cover works for me
Just goggle this brand and then check prices, Amazon has it for 850

    Conflict of interest?!

The OEM is fine if you want a trifold, but the thing I don't like about it is those darn pegs that stick out. Almost did some damage to my rim already putting my wheels in there and leaning against the side. Those things stick out so far almost got past the tire and would have marred the rim up something fierce while driving and they're bouncing around back there. I imagine anything you put back there that is higher than the bed rails you are going to run into a similar problem.

Also.. the fact that OEM you need to cut your bed rails unless someone switches you everything for installation

I cannot make up my mind on which tonneau cover to buy.
Ideally I'd prefer a hard cover for security reasons, but after all the research I've done I just can't justify the cost right now. Also many reviews I've seen for hard covers, including the popular Bakflip models, always point out about water leaks and fragile materials. The bakflip for example has issues with the cable latch breaking apparently and the Extang solid fold leaks a lot of water, also people have reported the hardware melting at times.

The tonneau covers that I have in mind are:
    • The Extang Trifecta 2.0 soft tri-fold ($400 - more expensive for a soft cover, but seems to have the best reviews for durability)
    • Gator ext soft tri-fold ($219 - this model seems to be Gator's cheapest soft cover, which is only sold through different online retailers like Amazon.)
    • Truxedo Truxport vinyl roll up ($309 - still not sold on a roll up because I've read that the velcro will eventually wear out, I do like the fact that you can use the full bed easily)
    • Tyger t3 tri-fold ($200 - the cheapest of my selections, pretty decent reviews but quality seems to be the biggest drawback. Cheap brackets, vinyl, etc...)

    Any advice????

Check out the Lund Genesis Elite, soft trifold. I am very happy with mine. Easy on and easy off. Clamps onto bedrail system. No drillings, etc. Made with high-end convertible top material which is manufactured in USA by Haartz Co. Sold by many vendors, including Amazon. About $300.

Edit: I have found the tonneau to be leak proof. What I recently discovered is that it is not dust proof. Drove about 50 miles over a gravel, dusty road. Found lots of dust in the bed. I don’t think the dust actually came in thru the tonneau, but rather in thru the drain holes on the bed. Either way, the dust was there.
